  -> Good question. You can say förtullning as well but I think that the "in-" suggests imported goods while the counterpart "utförtullning" suggests export, which is less common. Some transport agencies advertise in- and utförtullning services.

Customs clearance may not be enough: (non-)dutiable goods go into and out of the EU for active/outwards reprocessing or passive/inwards reprocessing.

Gullberg's dictionary simply and misleadingly says: 'entry inwards' - when the goods could be rejected or impounded without any clearance at all.
