legal opinion Explanation: Ref 1: "’Reasoned legal opinion’. En ‘opinion’ som inte bara redovisar slutsatserna av. advokatens rättsutredning utan även det. bakomliggande resonemanget" Ref 2: "(...)man begärt in en extern rättsutredning (legal opinion) som visat sig vara. alltför vag eller ofullständig." legal review Explanation: It sure is common out there. Naturvardsverket talks a lot about "utredningar" and refers to a legal review in the summary. A legal opinion sounds more like the gist of a review; the conclusion. BTW "opinion" is a false friend in Swedish/English so the reference from my colleague is questionable in that respect. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2006-11-14 19:34:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This explains it all: http://www.jur.lu.se/Internet/Biblioteket/Examensarbeten.nsf...$File/xsmall.pdf?OpenElement From ref: "...använder jag dock omväxlande begreppen intyg, ’opinion’ och *utlåtande* för att begreppet ’legal opinion’ inte skall förekomma flera gånger i samma mening" (the author was obviously referring to the English "opinion" when putting it between ' ' ) "legal opinion" is "utlåtande" Reference: http://www.naturvardsverket.se/bokhandeln/pdf/620-5364-7.pdf Reference: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22legal+review&hl=sv&lr=&sta... |
