English translation: periodontal(ly)

Swedish term or phrase: parodontal(t)
This may be as much a question about English usage as Swedish, but the adjective "paradontal" and its adverb "paradontalt" appear in this text (about dentures etc.).
I've found more references in English to "periodontal" than "parodontal", and the reverse in Swedish.
Could anyone confirm whether Sw. "parodontal" is
"periodontal" in English. Many thanks for any help.

agree  E2efour (X): OR parodontal (strictly speaking near or close to a tooth) but often used as a synonym of periodontal. Paradontal is incorrect.
