Rekorderlig is a cider brand from Sweden.

I have a client who wants to know what the word means in English.

proper (sort of)

Explanation:
It carries with it a few slightly nuanced meanings, but generally that of "proper", "substantial", "real"...a bit of an irony since the actual product is anything but.

At any rate, it is not a compound word.

agree  Deane Goltermann: Generally agree, but with other meanings -- sound, solid, hearty -- which to my mind fit with 'proper', and are ironic in a modern sense Seems a description of a persons character, but I've never seen or heard it used in my 25 years in country...

down-to-earth, earthy

Explanation:
I agree that it means trustworthy, reliable, and proper, and another way of looking at someone with all of those attributes is to say that the person is "down-to-earth" or has a solid, unpretentious, down-to-earth character. In the context of drinks, that makes me think of "earthy," a term that evokes nature, flavors, etc. and would seem fitting in describing cider/beer.
