Swedish term or phrase: Alla immateriella rättigheter
Hello

Is there a subtle difference between "immateriella rättigheter" and "immaterialrättsliga rättigheter"

The context gives me no clues and they seem to be the same thing on the Internet.

The client has always used the first term but today, suddenly, he uses the second term in a segment just after a segment where the first term was used as usual.

thanks

Just a suggestion - but I don't have the legal expertise to express a view on the subtle differences, if any.

I suppose there are differences between "intellectual property rights" and "copyright rights". So, if you have "intellectual property rights", then you have the right to ownership of the intellectual property. But what are those "rights"? The right to sell, lease, loan etc? The right to restrict others from using your property? But to what extent, where and for how long? What are the sanctions for infringement etc? These must be the issues that concern "copyright rights"

agree  Deane Goltermann: (all) 'intellectual property' nothing more (skip the 'rights'). Also known as IP. See http://www.wipo.int/about-ip/en/ Only a 1, Diarmuid?

agree  Christopher Schröder: Yes, they are the same thing

agree  Helen Johnson: In my opinion they're the same. Sticking "-rättsliga" on the end of something just shows that it's "to do with the law", the same as sticking "-teknisk" on the end of loads of words to indicate that it's some sort of technical matter or to be pc
