Swedish to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Real Estate / financial/legal situation
Swedish term or phrase: bestånd
A different section from the same document on Google with the correct context (the term I'm puzzled by is in the penultimate line):

Parterna har särs kilt överenskommit att handpenningen 40 000 kr, enligt
köpekontraktets betalningsvillkor, ska deponeras på fastighetsmäklarens konto för
klientmedel i Sparbanken 1826, kontonr 8313-9 504 461 611-7 Vänligen märk
insättningen: 12001
att redovisas
till säljaren då köpekontraktets särskilda villkor för köpets fullbordan och *bestånd* är
uppfyllda - om inte parterna gemensamt lämnar annat skriftligt förvaltningsuppdrag.

Is this a deposit, although I'd have said that "handpenning" was deposit? I know the word can be translated as portfolio, but I don't understand it here. Those with estate agency knowledge to the rescue please if possible.

köpets fullbordan och bestånd
completion of the sale

Explanation:
"fullbordan och bestånd" is legal jargon for "completion".

Broader rendering: att redovisas till säljaren då köpekontraktets särskilda villkor för köpets fullbordan och bestånd är uppfyllda - om inte parterna gemensamt lämnar annat skriftligt förvaltningsuppdrag =
to be transferred on to the seller when the special terms of the purchase contract for completion of the purchase are met -- unless the parties together provide (or jointly provide) in writing for another means of disposal [of the escrow amount].

Responding to Sven Petersson (below): I agree that "bestånd" in "fullbordan och bestånd" has a literal meaning. "fullbordan och bestånd" means literally "completion and continuation in force". Here I assume "continuation in force" means "not showing a defect or being subjected to a challenge". However, I dislike it, so I dropped the "and continuation in force". My defense: "completion" implies "continuation in force". Otherwise the word "completion" would be misleading.

fullbordan eller bestånd = completion or acknowledgment [by the purchaser] in lieu of completion.
(This author is not trying to be crystal clear, in my opinion. All the phrase can possibly mean with "or" is "completion or waiver of completion by the purchaser" (I am paraphrasing here).)

disagree  Sven Petersson: Your explanation: "fullbordan och bestånd" is legal jargon for "completion" is false! "Bestånd" has to be translated!
