Swedish term or phrase: Avslutningsbommar
"Avslutningsbommar finns i de flesta modeller och används i början/slutet av bryggan för att spara plats."

I have been unable to find any leads to go by in reference works or online. On its website, a supplier that this company works with uses the term "outrigger" for "bom" to describe the bumperlike structures used to define the slips in the marina--prompting me to construct the term "terminating outrigger", yet as far as I know in poper English an outrigger is an appurtenance of the boat itself, and not of the harbor, leaving me unsatisfied with the fruits of my search and my own cobbling.

Ideas appreciated, esp. from the recreational boaters among you.

English translation:Terminal booms
Explanation:
Closure/closing booms are options.
I agree that 'outrigger' is unsuitable, being,as you say , part of a boat.
I have not been ble to find any refernecs either, and it's along time since i was a 'yachtie' (recreational boater!)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Michael. Thank you for taking the time to comment on this matter. I have at no time been a yachtie, so that makes you infinitely more qualified than me! I will probably go with terminal booms here, though I do have a day or two more to think it over and field any last-minute suggestions coming in from the field. Terminal boom has a convincing ring to it, although here again I am seeing google return hits related to oil spill containment, as was the case when I initially began looking up 'booms' for harbor applications. Thanks again.
