English translation: turbidity

Swedish term or phrase: grumlande
From a text about dredging and other activity at a port:

"Mätning av grumling och partikelspridning [...] ska ske vid grumlande arbeten om det förekommer indikation på sedimentspridning av någon betydelse utanför hamnområdet."

"grumlande arbete" seems to mean "work that causes turbidity/muddying (of the water)". Does anyone happen to know a simpler/terser way to render the word "grumlande" in English here?

To the Asker. No, I mean turbidity which is a particular condition, ie, as explained by Collins. There is even a meter available with which to measure it.

Notes to answerer
Asker: To be exact, I think you mean that "turbidity-causing" is the translation of "grumlande" here (rather than just "turbidity")?
