tipcat Explanation: tipcat: a game in which a short piece of wood, tapered at both ends, is struck lightly at one end with a bat, causing the wood to spring into the air so that it can be batted for a distance. Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, page 1987. They might be referring to this game "tipcat" but I am not sure. |

playing cat Explanation: Following the logic of "playing house" or "playing catch", I would consider to use "playing cat". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2016-04-25 17:00:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Dear Tahmineh, unfortunately, I can't read your alphabet. The two example sentences are quotes from the reference Wikipedia article. I added a small explanation of the terms in the quote: playing house = evcilik playing catch = yakalamaca (you run to catch (= yakalamak) your friend) playing Mother or Auntie = playing house with reference to Persian culture Therefore: playing cat = kedicilik. Example sentence(s):
