Excessive Answer !

Explanation:
I just submit this answer since i want to add an agreement comment longer than 255 characters. And i want the asker not to consider this answer to be selected, it itself consists of other answers.
So;

First of all, i agree all answerers.
Pebbles are some small stones with a specific shape like smooth rounded and especially worn by water.

Gravels are some smal stones without a specific shape and are coarse. They are composed of rock fragments, broken in any way.

And
Shingles are definitely different. They are coarse beach gravels of small water-worn stones and pebbles or a stretch of shore covered with such gravels.

Please chose appropriate one from earlier answers.

neutral  Serkan Doğan: Adil bey, sizin sözlük biraz out-of-age hatta out-of-time olmasın, bu diktionary'de 'papple' kelimesi bulunuyor mu gerçekten, veyahut Kurtar Vazosu'ndaki "Çakıl" olmasın bahsedilen, şaka bir yana, sabah mahmurluğu herhalde, hürmet / muhabbetlerimi sunarım

any of the three already offered, however...

Explanation:
Each of the suggestions so far made are correct in essence, however it appears that they have different shades of meaning, viz:
-pebble: a small rounded stone, especaially worn by the action of water...
-gravel: small stones and pebbles, or a mixture of these with sand...
-shingle: small water-worn stones or pebbles lying loose esp. on a beach...+ a beach, riverbank or other area covered with such small pebbles or stones....
(all from Random House Websters' Electronic Dictionary)

Therefore I suggest that Asker's selection should better depend on the exact context used in the Turkish text.

agree  1964: Muhtemelen kastedilen gravel olabilir
2 hrs
-> teşekkürler, artık orasını Asker bilebilecek galiba...
