Turkish term or phrase: Oltasi
Ellerinde oltasi olan adam. This is translated in a Turkish language course by John Guise as:-the man with the fishing rodS in his hands. Can it possibly mean this? I can make sense of 'in his hands' & 'the man who is' but oltasi can hardly mean 'with the fishing rods'. I need help on this.

This answer covers all the points I wanted answering. Thanks to Tim for his discussion point. The typo appeared twice on the same page! I also have learnt that -si olmak is a good way of saying 'have'.
