neutral  Karahan Sisman: "throne of sultan" sadece makam anlamına geliyor; burada bahsedilen padişahlık sistemi. "sultanate" daha uygun olurdu sanırım... (evet haklısınız, aslında bağlamı bilmeyince benim söylediğim de havada kalıyor :)
