Technically "Irrevocable" or "Indefinite" don't fully apply because if the woman marries someone else and is divorced by that man, she can marry the previous husband again. But these terms are closer to intended meaning, unless adding additional explanation.

Per Holy Qur'an, a person who divorces a woman for the first time can re-marry her (if she agrees) if waiting period after pronouncement of divorce has passed (if waiting period has not passed and he wants the marriage he can simply take back his divorce pronouncement and same marriage continues), if he again divorces her a 2nd time, he can still marry her a 3rd time (if she agrees). If a third marriage and then a 3rd divorce occurs, he cannot remarry the same woman unless she has married someone else in the meanwhile and gotten divorced. Some schools of thought consider it permissible to by-pass the process and proclaim the words "I divorce you" three times to make it an "irrevocable" divorce (the third divorce) as is seen in source text here. A man tried this at the time of the Holy Prophet (saw) which angered the Prophet (saw) who said 'does he consider religion to be a joke?'
