I use several - Gmail, Skype, MSN, Yahoo. etc. It's good to know that MSN and Yahoo users can chat across one another. However, I am really looking for only one platform which can integrate all the above. I have heard that recently Jabbar is trying to do this task. Most contacts are MSN. This is a shame as it is so much more restricted than other services. For example, there is a limit on message length. Great features with Gaim are that you have everything in one interface, and you can download a portable version and use it on your USB drive. Then there's message logging, docking, no adverts, etc., etc., ad infinitum. It's not that I am a big Microsoft fan, but it seems to be the one that every client uses, so it's almost a must. Some clients prefer Skype, which has a much nicer GUI, and I use it regularly for making calls to land phones. Ocasionally, I use Yahoo Messenger too. I had installed GAIM, but it had less features than the others (for instance, no voice chatting, and you don't have an e-mail instant notifier), and the GUI is really ugly, so I decided to remove it.
