Bio
Dear all,

I am a native speaker of English, born and raised in New York.

I studied French through university, both in the United States and in France. I studied translation in Paris and began translating professionally in 2006. Since 2007, I have worked almost exclusively in French with clients from various francophone countries, and am therefore accustomed to different accents and vocabulary.

I have extensive experience as a translator and interpreter in the context of asylum cases both in the U.S. and internationally. I have also served as an interpreter in legal negotiations between American and French companies and have translated various website materials and legal documents for international NGOs.

I studied Spanish to a university level, both in the United States and in Colombia, and have worked as an interpreter and translator between Spanish and English.

I have a B.A. in liberal arts, a J.D. with a certificate in refugee and humanitarian emergencies, and am currently completing an MA in migration studies.

I have always been passionate about languages and thoroughly enjoy my work. I look forward to making new connections and taking on different kinds of projects.

I am very respectful of deadlines and understand that a job is only done if it is done well.

My fees are always negotiable, and I hope you will feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have.

Kind regards.

Sincerely,

Rachel Goodman-Davis
