Source text - English The first training session on Diversity Management was organised on 14 September with the participation of 20 assistants. All participants were experienced job coaches. The training session offered them the opportunity to share their expertise, models of good practise, case studies, etc. Another item on the agenda was diversity management in companies. How should the job coach/diversity coach introduce him/herself in the company? What are the concrete responsibilities of a job coach (identifying the workplace, know the environment)?
As the expert team already had a lot of experience in diversity management, it was decided during the training to focus a bit more on the mentoring process. What are the responsibilities and the competencies of a mentor (empathy, motivation, facilitator...)? What are the selection criteria and procedures for choosing a mentor? What are the differences between a job coach and a mentor?
We will start the Mentor Model in October and November 2011. The expert team that participated in the first session will also implement the Mentor Model and give us feedback.
The next IBB2 project meeting will be hosted by AURA in Barcelona on 14 and 15 November 2011.
Translation - Spanish La primera sesión formativa en Gestión de la diversidad se organizó el 14 de septiembre con la participación de 20 asistentes. Todos los participantes tenían experiencia como instructores laborales. La sesión formativa les brindó la oportunidad de compartir sus conocimientos, modelos de buenas prácticas, estudios de casos prácticos, etc. Otro punto de la agenda fue le gestión de la diversidad en las empresas. ¿Cómo el instructor laboral/instructor de la diversidad debería introducirse en la empresa? ¿Cuáles son las responsabilidades concretas de un instructor laboral (identificando el lugar del trabajo, conocer el entorno)?
A medida que el equipo de expertos ya tenía mucha experiencia en la gestión de la diversidad, se decidió durante la formación centrarse un poco más en el proceso de mentoría. ¿Cuáles son las responsabilidades y las competencias de un mentor (empatía, motivación, ser facilitador..)? ¿Cuáles son los criterios y procedimientos de selección para elegir un mentor? ¿Cuáles son las diferencias entre un instructor laboral y un mentor?
Vamos a empezar el modelo Mentor en octubre y noviembre de 2011. El equipo de expertos que participaron el la primera sesión también pondrá en práctica el modelo Mentor y nos dará su opinión. La próxima reunión del proyecto IBB2 será organizada por AURA en Barcelona los días 14 y 15 de noviembre de 2011.
