I am a freelance proofreader, copyeditor, localiser and transcriber. I specialise in working with people for whom English is not their first language - both academics and other writers, and translators who are working from their native language into English, making sure the English is idiomatically and grammatically correct and ensuring it conforms to British or American English standards.

When I worked for the UK office of an American company for eight years, most of them at a senior level, I became proficient and experienced in the use of both British and American English, and work with both now - I have customers all over the world and am happy to work in their required language variety.

I have an Honours Degree in English Language and Literature and am a qualified librarian.
