I started my career as PhD student biology in behavioural and neural science, so I have a widespread knowledge in the field of life sciences.
Since 2006 I am totally devoted to languages as a translator and proofreader. I work from my home-office in The Netherlands, but I have lived and worked in the UK as well, which provided me with a more in-depth understanding of the English language and British culture.

Ik ben mijn carrière begonnen als wetenschapper in gedrags- en neurobiologie en heb daardoor een uitgebreide kennis op het gebied van biologie, geneeskunde, psychologie en farmacie.
Sinds 2006 richt ik mij volledig op het vertalen en corrigeren in het Nederlands en Engels. Ik werk vanuit mijn kantoor aan huis in Nederland, maar heb ook in het Verenigd Koninkrijk gewoond en gewerkt, waardoor ik de Engelse taal en Britse cultuur goed heb leren kennen.
Momenteel werk ik vooral aan ICT-vertalingen en medische vertalingen. Verder ben ik Domeinhoofd Professionalisering en docent aan de ITV Hogeschool voor Tolken & Vertalen in Utrecht, waar ik vertalen Engels - Nederlands geef.
