English to Russian: Lhasa and Kailash program (программа Лхаса и Кайлаш) General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Tourism & Travel
Source text - English Tibet one of those extraordinary destination where indeed adventure lurks around every corner! Adventure on the road is never short on the beautiful Transhimalayan drive, through mountain, passes, promising a panorama of a cultural and scenic diversity unsurpassable anywhere. It culminates on an arid plateau - a varitable treasure trove of architectural masterpieces - the Buddhist monasteries of Drepung, once the largest in the country The Jhokhang - a spiritual center, and the awesome palaces of the Dalai Lama - Norbulinga (the summer palace) and the Potala (the traditional seat). To travel for days on this remote plateau with the chance encounters of nomads herding their sheep or yaks is to be transformed into another way of life. We begin the tour by traveling to Kathmandu and departing by flight to Lhasa. The day to day program is outlined as follows:
Mt. Kailash, at 6714 m also known as Tise, Kailasa& Kang Rinpoche(Jewel of the Snows), has since time immemorial been celebrated in many Eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis mundi. And as the center of the physical & metaphysical universe, Mt. Meru is sacred to the Buddhist, Jains, the Hindus & the Bonpos. For the Hindus, the mountain represents the seat of Lord Shiva; for the Buddhists, a terrestrial projection of the cosmic mandala of Dhyani-Buddhas&Boddhisatvas. The Wheel of Life; for the Bonpos, Kailash was the sacred nine storey Swastika Mountain, upon which the Bonpo founder Sherab alighted from heaven. Four of the great rivers of the Indian subcontinent originate from here: the Karnali, which feeds into the Ganges (south); the Indus (north); the Sutlez (west) & the Brahmaputra (YarlungTsangpo, east). With us you can have an enjoyable holiday in the Mt kailash.

Source text - Russian «
Translation - English "The goals of our own spiritual practice transcend far beyond a separate personality.
This is the common good for the entire mankind (loka-sangraha) and the common Enlightenment of the Mankind (arruppadai), enlightenment and Deliverance from sufferings of all beings in all dimensions.
This is true because we are not separate from the entire mankind and the Universe, we are the part of this great Universum, Mega-Mind (Brahman), Single Consciousness, the big whole, as a cell is always a part of a finger, a finger is a part of a hand, and a hand is a part of a body.
We need to understand, to accept this fact, and transfer from narrow vision of ourselves as egos to the vision of the common Unity.
We are united with the Universe, with the entire mankind, we are a part of it.
This is an axiom of Advaita Vedanta, established by the great gods and saints: Shiva, Dattatreya, Vasishtha, Shankara in their exhortations and holy scriptures".
