Source text - Dutch o Totale renovatie van een koppelwoning aan de Belgische kust. Meer licht, open ruimtes en een vakantiegevoel, waren de wensen van de opdrachtgever. Het pand is op het gelijkvloers volledig gestript en alle muren werden verwijderd. Het nieuwe ontwerp is opgebouwd rondom 1 centrale kastenwand die de leefruimte scheidt van de keuken en eetplaats. De zijgevel tegenover de kopse kant van de haard werd voorzien van een nieuwe uitbouw, waarachter zich het zuidelijk gericht terras bevindt. In de zomer kunnen de bewoners van op dit terras genieten van de haard. Verder hebben ook de slaapkamers, dressing en badkamers een grondige renovatie ondergaan. Het eindresultaat is een evenwichtige en tijdloze woning waar de bouwheer met plezier zijn vakanties in doorbrengt.
Translation - English o Complete renovation of a home pair on the Belgian coast. More light, open spaces and a feel of vacation, these were the customer’s wishes. The property’s ground floor was completely stripped and all the walls were removed. The new design is built around one central wall unit that separates the living space from the kitchen and dining area. The side wall opposite the fireplace’s crosscut side is equipped with a new extension, behind which the south-orientated terrace is located. During the summer, the residents can enjoy the open fire from this terrace. Furthermore, the bedrooms, dressing and bathrooms underwent a thorough renovation. The end result is a balanced and timeless home where the principal loves to spend his holidays.
