I am a 42 year old British/German national. I grew up in the UK, went to university in London, Paris & Madrid. I worked in Financial Services for 5 years. For the last 15 years I have lived in Frankfurt, Germany and have been working actively as a free-lance translator in the Business and Arts Sector. My prime interest is in literature and my ultimate goal is to enter the field of literary translation. I am currently preparing to take the Staatlich geprüfter Übersetzer examination here in Germany, as well as the DipTrans at the Institute of Linguists in London. I am also ending the first year of a Masters degree in Translation at the University of Bristol.
