I am a Czech native speaker with long-term translation experience.

I studied English and Czech at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. I spent 4 years living in the United Kingdom and the USA alternately. I have worked as a translator and proof-reader for almost 10 years now. I am also a part-time language teacher.

TRANSLATION

I provide translation and localization services from English to Czech and from Czech to English, including a 24-hour express translation service. I accept, process and deliver translations in any text editor by e-mail, via courier, on a CD. Thanks to a close cooperation with a professional graphic and web designer I can also offer graphic or website layout of translated texts in any formats.

PROOFREADING

Grammatically correct content is essential for any text. My goal is to deliver a thorough and in-depth proofreading service. I work with standard formats (PDG, word), printed texts, and I can also proofread directly in WordPress.

SUBTITLING

After years of being a dedicated amateur subtitler, I decided to take it seriously. My subtitling and close captioning service consists of translation of a written script or audio stream, creating subtitles and timing, final check and proofreading, and delivering the file in one of the standard subtitle file formats. I can also extract from or add subtitles to the DVD.
