My name is Daniela Ryf and I am an MA qualified German mother tongue freelance translator and conference interpreter. I am working from Spanish, English, French and Greek into German and from German into Spanish.


My professional qualifications include a Bachelor in Translation (University of Applied Sciences, Zurich, Switzerland) and a Master in Conference Interpreting (University of Granada, Spain). Furthermore, I had the opportunity to sharpen my skills during a traineeship for COINED International in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have three years of experience translating a wide range of documents in the technical, scientific, medical, legal, financial and marketing fields.

Currently I am working part-time for the State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, for the Cantonal Police and as a freelance transator and interpreter.

I fully understand the requirements of a good translation: sensitivity to source culture, advanced research skills, accuracy, clarity, quality assurance and completion by deadlines. I am detail-oriented, committed and flexible in adapting to challenges and deadlines.

I am based in Berne, Switzerland, but I use to travel a lot to Spain and to other countries.
