Selon les données statistiques fournies par l’administration de Yonge-Dundas Square, environ 60 000 personnes foulent quotidiennement cette intersection, la plus achalandée au pays. Toutefois, ce nombre aurait pu être influencé à la hausse en raison du nombre important de touristes à Toronto dans le cadre des Jeux panaméricains. Ce sont donc entre 750 000 et un million de personnes qui auraient été sensibilisées à la culture francophone canadienne et panaméricaine durant l’événement.
Selon le directeur de la programmation, YYY, il s’agit d’un succès inespéré, tant du point de vue de la variété du public que de leur curiosité envers les artistes. « La francophonie canadienne est de plus en plus métissée, et c’est cette couleur de la francophonie moderne que nous avons présentée à Toronto, et qui a tant plu au public. » Les gestionnaires de Yonge-Dundas Square auraient d’ailleurs confié aux organisateurs qu’ils n’avaient jamais accueilli une programmation de si grande qualité et autant diversifiée sur leur site.

According to statistics collected by the administrators of Yonge-Dundas square, around 60,000 people pass through this intersection daily, which makes it the most heavily-trafficked intersection in the country. However, there may have been an even greater number of people passing by during the event due to tourists being in town for the Pan-American Games. It can thus be reliably estimated that between 750,000 and one million people were sensitized to Canadian/Pan-American Francophone culture during the event.
According to the program director, YYY, the success of the event surpassed the hopes of the organizers, as much from the point of view of the diversity of the public as from their curiosity towards the artists. “Canadian-Francophone culture is becoming more and more diverse, and it’s this modern Francophone flavor that we’ve put on display for Toronto and the greater public.” Moreover, the managers of Yonge-Dundas Square reportedly told organizers that they had never hosted a program of such excellence and with as much diversity at their site before.
