I am a French native speaker and French-English-Chinese-Spanish translator/interpreter, with 4+ years of experience in translation and interpretation, mostly in China. I have worked mostly as a freelancer for private audio-visual companies and publishers (I have translated hundreds of documentaries and TV programs, several full-length international movies and one novel), but also for institutional clients (most notably for the French embassy in Beijing and the European Delegation to China). I am specialized in cultural and legal translation, but would like to work on scientific translation in the future.I lived in China for 5 years, first in 2010 and then from 2014 to 2018, and I graduated in 2016 with a master´s degree in Translation and Interpretation from Beijing Language and Culture University, having obtained a scholarship from the Chinese government in 2014. I started to study a PhD in Cognitive Science at Beijing Normal University in 2017, thanks to another Chinese government scholarship, but had to give it up for administrative reasons and later obtained a Marie Skodowska Curie fellowship from the European Union to study a PhD in Cognitive Science at the University of the Basque Country in Spain. |
