WASHINGTON (Reuters) - La Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Cftc) l’autorità americana di regolamentazione dei derivati ha autorizzato Cme Group e Cboe Global Markets al trading dei contratti futures sul bitcoin
Il via libera è arrivato dopo che le due società hanno dimostrato che i contratti proposti e le regole di negoziazione rispettano i requisiti regolamentari necessari.
L’annuncio apre la strada affinché i due operatori rivali focalizzati sullo scambio di derivati diventino le prime borse statunitensi tradizionali regolamentate ad avviare il trading sui contratti finanziari legati al bitcoin, segnando uno spartiacque per una maggiore regolamentazione della criptovaluta.

Bitcoin, U.S. regulator okays futures trading

Washington (Reuters)—The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the U.S federal agency for derivatives regulations, has allowed CME and Cboe Global Markets to trade futures contracts in bitcoin.
The green light came after the two companies demonstrated that the proposed contracts and trading rules comply with the required necessary regulations.
The announcement has opened the way for the two rival operators that concentrate on the exchange of derivatives to become the first mainstream U.S. regulated exchanges to launch the trading of financial contracts linked to bitcoin, indicating a watershed for better cryptocurrency regulation.
CME has let it know that futures exchanges on the platform CME Globex electronics will begin on 18 December.
Bitcoin, in the last few days, leapt above 11,000 U.S. dollars but then fell by 20% to climb back to today’s maximum of 10,500 U.S. dollars after the news of the green light from the U.S. regulator.
