Bio
Started translating (AR > EN and EN > AR) in
1980. After I had received my BSc in Chemical Engineering and worked in
manufacturing for a couple of years, I gradually shifted my career path into
Software Engineering and have been working in the IT field for the last 41 years.
For over 27 years (1995-2022), I worked as a software engineer with a major
Bank in New Zealand.
Back in the 80’s and 90’s, and alongside my main line of
work as a software engineer, I freelanced in translating;
- Commercial and Business
including; Import / Export documentation, Customs reports, Bills of Lading,
Insurance claims and Insurance damage assessments reports
- RFPs (Requests for
Proposal) and RFQs (Requests for Quotation) correspondence
- Scientific patents
- Health Care publications
and medical procedures
- Machinery Operating manuals
My passion for translation has never ebbed; I am now
immersing myself more into translation in the fields of tourism, agriculture
and farming, Wine making and the Honey Industry; all fields which our country,
New Zealand, is renowned for.
Equipped with this passion and knowledge I would like to
offer my services in (AR > EN and EN > AR) translation.
