Bio

I'm an academically trained and experienced Finnish language professional, always excited to jump into new projects in, on and about Finnish.

I'm a native Finn, born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, and relocated to sunny (!) Miami, Florida in 2015. I'm an ATA-certified EN-FI translator since 2018 and I've graduated from the University of Helsinki with an MA degree in Finnish language and interactional linguistics.

I know my Finnish, whether it is about writing, translating, localizing, QA, proofreading, editing, MT post editing, data generation, content production, copywriting, transcreation, coaching and language testing in recruitment processes. In addition to linguistics, I also have extensive knowledge on Finnish culture, traditions and history. My translation expertise lies in the field of business, commercial, technology, marketing and communication.

I'm a member of American Translators Association, Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida, Women in Localization and also Vice President of Finlandia Foundation South Florida Chapter.
