Originally from Pennsylvania, U.S.A., I began my language career by taking courses in Spanish grammar, translation, and Mexican culture at the Escuela para Extranjeros (now known as Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros - http://www.cepe.unam.mx/) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I obtained my B.A. in psychology at the University of the Americas, Mexico City.(http://www.udla.mx/htdocs/index.php)

My work has focused on translating and interpreting, teaching English and Spanish, and business administration. I created and ran a language school in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. My team and I taught English, Spanish, French, and Italian to locals, visitors, and companies. 

I hold the Bridging the Gap Professional Medical Interpreter Training Certificate and am employed as Migrant Program Facilitator/Interpreter at Geneseo Migrant Center (www.migrant.net). I frequently interpret in medical and educational settings. 

My working languages are English and Spanish; my areas of expertise include medical, psychology, education, ports and the shipping industry, agriculture, legal, real estate, culture, and diversity.
