I was born and raised as a native Malay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I earned an MBA in International Business and a BBA in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University in the USA (in English), a Diploma in Software Programming Engineer from Primetech Institute in Canada (in English) and a Diploma in Public Administration from University Technology MARA in Malaysia (in Malay).

I have a solid background in business and information technology translation, having performed translation work both in-house and as a freelance translator for many local and international companies including Entegris, Inc. (Nasdaq - ENTG), Heerema Marine Contractors Nederland B.V., Philips Semiconductors, Tizoc's International, KJ International Resources, Ltd., A la Carte Languages Inc., Excambio Corporation, SDL Plc. etc. I can provide translation samples or do a translation test if you so require.

I work with Trados Workbench, Deja Vu and SDLX. I am also proficient in C, C++, HTML, Javascript, SQL*PLUS, PL/SQL, Visual Basic 6, MS Access, Oracle 8, Oracle Pro *C, Developer 2000, Microsoft Office products (97/00), Adobe Acrobat, PageMaker, Dreamweaver, Star Office and FrontPage.

My areas of expertise are: Information Technology, Internet, computer, telecommunications, finance, international business, marketing, poetry, divination and Islamic studies.

I have translated several Web sites from English into Malay. I use Deja Vu for the translation. I can also handle SGML and XML files.
