Bio
I am a native English speaker with extensive experience as a freelance translator (Italian-English).

I have a degree in Italian Language and Legal Studies (2003-2007) and a Masters in Advanced Language Skills, with a focus on translation and interpreting (2007-2008).

I specialise in academic translation (having been awarded a PhD in Italian Children's Literature of the First World War in June 2012), but have a significant amount of experience with technical and more general translation. I am confident with Legal and Financial translation, as Legal Studies was a core component of my primary degree and because I have gained significant experience working in these areas.

I have taught Italian language and literature and Translation Studies at university level.

I work with Trados, Star TRANSIT and Wordfast.
