I am in the translation business for four years. My work comprised mainly volunteer work for an immigration service which included above all legal papers, court documents, and general texts. In addition I volunteered translating reports and publications on the web for a human rights organisation.
Paid work comprises translations of legal documents, medical general texts, texts of the tourism industry as well as interpretations in the medical field.
In December of 2008 I received my certificate from New York University of Translations from German to English with an emphasis on commercial and financial translations.
I also have a Diploma of English Business Language from Berlitz-School Germany.
Despite the fact that I also speak French fluently (I have several certificates from Alliance Française, Paris) and Italian moderately, my working languages are only German and English.
I moved to Canada in 1997 where I work in the oil industry for almost 9 years.
I have a background in the art and theatre world and worked in the tourism industry for more than 15 years.
I accept only work that I am knowledgeable about. Deadlines will be kept; translations will be accurate with attention to detail. You can always rely on me and my discretion.
