English to Portuguese: ELVITEGRAVIR/COBICISTAT/EMTRICITABINE/ TENOFOVIR DISOPROXIL FUMARATE SINGLE TABLET REGIMEN (EVG/COBI/FTC/TDF, QUAD STR) General field: Medical Detailed field: Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Source text - English In the 4-, 13 , and 26 week repeat oral dose studies in rats, medium-to-large lipid like vacuoles were observed (at doses >= 100 mg/kg/day) in the lamina propria, mainly in the upper small intestine (duodenum and/or jejunum), but there were no toxic or reactive changes associated with these vacuoles). The severity of this finding did not increase with duration of dosing. A similar finding was noted in the 39 week dog study, but was not seen in the 4 week dog study. In a series of mechanistic studies, the vacuoles were confirmed to be lipid vacuoles containing mainly triglycerides, and the findings were shown to be slowly reversible. Lipid vacuoles were decreased when food was not present, and the incidence and severity of vacuoles was shown to be related to the local concentration of EVG.
Observations of increased cecal weight and dilatation with whitish loose contents were noted in the repeat dose rat studies at doses >= 300 mg/kg/day. In the juvenile toxicity portion of the perinatal/postnatal study in rats, increased cecum weights were observed following doses of 2000 mg/kg/day in males and doses of 1000 and 2000 mg/kg/day in females. These changes were not accompanied by histopathologic changes or adverse clinical observations. Similar changes in the cecum have been reported with antibacterial quinolones {18406}.
Elvitegravir has a quinolone moiety in its structure and was confirmed to have some antibacterial activity in a bacterial reverse mutation test. Although the antibacterial activity was much lower than that of the antibacterial quinolones, these changes in the cecum were considered to be due to the antibacterial activity of EVG.
English to Portuguese: Modeling Inputs for Drinking Water Assessment for Pistachios and Tree Nuts General field: Science Detailed field: Agriculture
Source text - English FIRST (ver. 1.1.0), PRZM (ver. 3.122)/ EXAMS (ver. 2.98.04), and SCI-GROW (ver. 2.3) models were used to EDWC for emamectin benzoate. The Agency identified four degradates of concern based on structural similarity to emamectin benzoate that are formed via photolysis (MARC memo references: D238206, Sept 2, 1997; D255357, Aug 20, 2001; D277085, Aug 20, 2001):
These degradates were included in the drinking water assessment for emamectin benzoate and are assumed to be of equal or lesser toxicity to that of the parent compound. The total toxic residues approach is used for determining the environmental fate data parameters for modeling using the Guidance for Selecting Input Parameters in Modeling the Environmental Fate and Transport of Pesticides, Version 2.1, October 22, 2009, and the draft Guidance for Modeling Pesticides Total Toxic Residues (TTR), dated May 20, 2009.
This assessment follows the same exposure outline as done in DP 347918 (see Appendix 2), with the exception of incorporating new aerobic soil metabolism half-life and the aerobic aquatic metabolism half-life values. As previously done, the TTR approach was used in determining the half-lives for all the newly submitted studies. Please see Table 3 below with a list of the input parameters used in the surface and ground water assessments. The old half-life values and sources are shown in italics in order to show where the changes were made.
English to Portuguese: Business Policy Travel General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Business/Commerce (general)
Source text - English The purpose of this Business Travel Policy (The “Policy”) is to set consistent global standards governing the Company’s Travel and Entertainment (T&E) program and to provide clarity to our employees regarding the Company’s expectations when incurring and documenting reimbursable business related T&E expenses. Therefore, it is required and expected that all employees and their supervisors carefully and rigorously apply this Policy in particular with regard to:
• The assessment of alternative options such as use of available communication tools (e.g., video conferencing, conference calls, e-mails) instead of undertaking business travel
• The proper planning of the trip to ensure the optimization of the applicable rates
• The use of the conventions/affiliations that allow the best pricing conditions for travel and accommodation where there is a choice. If this is not possible, the most economical solutions should be used and approved by the relevant approver
• Not exceeding the expenditure limits
• The use, wherever possible, of the corporate credit card agreed upon with the Company as a normal means of payment
• Accurate reporting of expenditure properly incurred in accordance with this Policy
• Mandatory use of XXX’s travel agency for all business related travel
If payments are made for expenses other than T&E expenses (e.g. personal telephone calls, mini-bar, newspapers, etc.) the same shall be treated as personal expenses and excluded from the reimbursement request.
Please refer Appendix-15.1 on the policies for appropriate usage of the corporate credit card.
