Source text segment #4- "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded." Rank by: +37 | -1 It's [supposedly] funny because on the surface both propositions can't be true. If nobody goes there anymore, it wouldn't be crowded. Of course it isn't meant literally.  +17 A classic example of irony, attempting to demonstrate that, although the restaurant is more popular than ever, the few original and regular customers (read: the ones who matter, and were patrons long before its popularity) no longer bother. +16 | -1 It means that the regular customs are not going there anymore because a lot of new ones are going there. +7 On why he no longer went to Ruggeri's, a St. Louis restaurant. +7 The point here seems to be that nobody *deliberately* goes there any more, because the place is too crowded.
