Bio
I am a freelance translator specialising in technical translations from French to English.

Orignally from the south east of the UK, I have been living and working in Brest, Brittany for the past ten years, where I completed a post-graduate diploma in translation and technical writing.

I have a background in the social sciences. My joint-honours degree in French and Psychology helped me to find my placement for the above diploma at the European Centre for Virtual Reality (CERV, a research department with Brest National Engineering school, with whom I have since worked repeatedly), located in the Technopôle Brest-Iroise Science park here on the western tip of Brittany. Working on my experience in this field, I have also started to specialise in translations in the fields of Information Technology and Engineering.

I greatly enjoy the opportunities I have to work at the cutting edge of research and development, and also teach at a number of engineering schools in the area, as well as with private companies.
