Dzięki wdrożeniu pakietu ulepszeń M 1911 A2, każdy posiadacz M 1911 może w bardzo krótkim czasie przerobić swój pistolet, zwiększając jego parametry, takie jak: wytrzymałość, niezawodność, zasięg i celność broni. W skład zestawu M 1911 A2/A3 wchodzą między innymi następujące, usprawnione technicznie, części pistoletu: zespół zaczepu kurka i kurka, do którego stosuje się oznaczenie A3, przekonstruowane łączniki lufy, nowa generacja luf, łożysk, kompensatorów podrzutu, dostosowane do strzelania na dalekie odległości przyrządy celownicze, a także bezpieczniki broni i obustronne zatrzaski magazynków.

Nowy zaczep kurka A3 zaopatrzono w dodatkowy występ zapobiegający wysunięciu się z zębów kurka lub też jego przypadkowemu opadnięciu. Kurek w części współpracującej z zaczepem otrzymał nieco inny kształt. Układ zaczepu kurka i kurka A3 powoduje, że do uruchomienia mechanizmu spustowo-uderzeniowego potrzebna jest mniejsza siła nacisku na język spustowy. Drugim bardzo istotnym usprawnieniem wprowadzonym przez Karla Lipparda do pistoletów systemu M 1911 jest nowy typ łączników odryglowujących luf. Łączniki Lipparda występują w dwóch odmianach: Wide Link i Military Link. Pierwszy z nich, którego koncepcja pojawiła się jeszcze w latach osiemdziesiątych, stał się podstawą konstrukcyjną do opracowania w 2008 roku łącznika typu Military Link. W chwili obecnej łączniki typu Wide Link uznane zostały przez Karla Lipparda za przestarzałe. Używane są one rzadko, tylko w przypadkach, kiedy broń i lufa odbiegają od normalnej specyfikacji. Charakterystyczną cechą łącznika typu Wide Link jest znacznie większa szerokość w porównaniu z klasycznymi łącznikami stosowanymi w pistoletach M 1911. Szerszy łącznik zapewnia mniejszy luz pomiędzy nim a osią zatrzasku zamka, co zwiększa stabilizację lufy w czasie strzelania. Łącznik Military Link pasuje niemal do wszystkich luf pistoletów M 1911 i charakteryzuje się nietypowym kształtem, gdzie odpowiednio ukształtowana dolna cześć jest szersza od górnej. Dzięki temu w bardzo precyzyjny sposób rozłącza występy ryglowe na górnej części lufy z oporami znajdującymi się w zamku, tworząc przez to bardzo zwarty układ lufa – zamek. Zadanie tak skonstruowanego łącznika polega również na precyzyjnym i całkowitym wyhamowaniu odryglowanej lufy. Podczas strzelania z pistoletów, w których zamontowano łączniki Wide Link i Military Link, siły pomiędzy współpracującymi ze sobą szkieletem i zamkiem rozpraszane są w taki sposób, by zbyt ich nie obciążać i nie zużywać, w rezultacie nie tworząc pomiędzy nimi luzów. Zapewnia to przez cały czas eksploatacji broni doskonałe skupienie wystrzelonych z niej pocisków. Dalsza stabilizacja lufy i prawidłowe rozpraszanie działającej niekorzystnie na pistolet energii zapewnione zostało przez odpowiednie osadzenie dolnej szerszej części łącznika w szkielecie broni. Niweluje to nadmierne luzy pomiędzy częściami ruchomymi i zapobiega zakłóceniom w trakcie ich współpracy. Nowoczesne łączniki Lipparda ujarzmiają energię odrzutu broni i przesyłają ją bezpośrednio na tył chwytu oraz w znacznym stopniu zwiększają żywotność broni i jej celność.
Translation - English In total, there are around 21 patents in the area of improvements related to the M 1911 A2/A3. Through implementation of a package of improvements for the M 1911 A2, each holder of this model may rework his/her gun in a very short period of time, to thereby increase its parameters, such as strength, reliability, range and accuracy. The M 1911 A2/A3 set includes, amongst other things, the following technologically improved parts for the pistol; sear set; the hammer – which is symbolized ‘A3’; reconstructed barrel links; a new generation of barrels; bushings; recoil compensators; sights adapted for long-range shooting; as well as firearm’s safety locks and two-sided magazine catches. According to Karl Lippard, the modifications he made to the sear and to the hammer are, "the most significant change in the firing mechanism since the invention of the bow and arrow."
Until its release, a generic mechanism was the only one known and used, where the sear kept the hammer in a back position, and on pulling the trigger, the sear would slip out of the hammer’s notches, which would make the hammer pivot forward and initiate a shot. Although this solution has withstood the test of time, with decades of use, it does have some drawbacks; the loaded gun, if it falls with the hammer cocked, may shoot. The new A3’s sear is provided with an additional lobe, to prevent slipping from the notches of the hammer, and from the danger of accidental falling of the hammer. The part of the hammer, working together with the sear, has a slightly different shape. In the A3, the sear system and the hammer make the triggering-firing mechanism require less pressure exerted on the trigger to be activated.
Another very important improvement introduced by Karl Lippard to the M 1911 guns is a new type of barrel-unlocking link. Lippard’s links come in two varieties: the Wide Link and the Military Link. The first of these, the concept of which emerged as early as in the 80s, became the design basis for the development of the Military Link in 2008. Wide links are now considered obsolete by Karl Lippard; they are used only rarely, in cases where the gun and barrel differ from the normal specifications. A characteristic feature of the Wide Link is its significantly larger width, compared to the conventional links used in M 1911 pistols. The Wide Link provides less clearance between itself and the axis of the slide stop, which increases stabilization of the barrel during shooting. The Military Link fits to almost all barrels of M 1911 guns and is characterized by its unusual shape, wherein the appropriately shaped bottom part is wider than the top one. This design allows for a very precise way to disconnect the lock lobes on the top of the barrel, with resistance appearing in the slide, thus forming a very compact barrel-slide system.
Another goal of such a link construction is also to brake the unlocked barrel precisely and completely. During shooting the guns in which Wide Links and Military Links are mounted, the forces between the frame and the slide – the parts working together – are dispersed in such a way as to minimize load and wear, as a result avoiding clearances between them. This, for the duration of the weapon’s lifetime, ensures the finest firing precision.
Stabilization of the barrel and the sound dissipation of the energy, issues that previously had proved a problem with the gun, have been resolved by providing appropriate fastening of the wider, bottom part of the link in the arm’s frame. This has eliminated excessive clearances between moving parts, and prevents interferences of those working together. Modern Lippard links subdue the recoil energy of the weapons, and send it directly to the rear of the grip, thus greatly increasing the life of guns, and their accuracy.

Hi,
My name is Robert Platek. I am an ex-mathematics teacher skilled in computer programs*. I became a freelance translator, as I believed this would be my professional fulfillment. By the way, maths is a language itself, its objects are defined based on another objects' definitions (but that's another story).
Before I started working as a freelance translator, I tried to make a living through wide range of professions: data entry clerk, maths teacher, poultry farm worker.
Then, in 2008, for half a year I've been working as an English interpreter for iron-workers in Sweden, which is practical training for English-Polish-English translation in technical, financial and legal scope.
Since 2011 I translate full-time. Over that time I have come to realize that translation involves more than just words. It requires the translator to cross the division of cultures so that the words make sense to the reader.
The most relevant last 6 months' experiences:
1) half-time translation in automotive field (truck service facility) for two months (July-August). This job involved translation of fault descriptions’ parts' names and description of repair process (Polish--> English).
2) translation of 120-page long philosophical (general) book (August - November)
3) in September and October full-time in-house translation of contractual, technical, IT and medical texts for aircraft manufacturer - about 180 standard pages (I worked for the government in a secret room)
4) December: 60 pages on neurological hammers, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes; 40 pages an iOS app for floor plan capturing
Currently I'm translating 50 page manual of a massage system.
I think that I am the right person for this job because I have spent many hours working (talking to) native English** people but remain culturally Polish. It would be my goal to not only translate your words but also your meaning in a way that connects to my people.
