I am a native English freelance translator from Northern Ireland and based in Belfast, trading under the name Titanic Translation Services. I began working as a freelance translator in 2012 after completing my undergraduate degree in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) with Translation and Interpreting at the University of Salford, in which I attained first-class honours. Due to my performance in the specialist translation areas of this course, I was awarded a prize for 'Excellence in Translation' by Manchester-based translation agency The Translation People.

I went on to complete the prestigious master's degree in Interpreting and Translating at the University of Bath while continuing to work on a freelance basis. In August 2013, I moved to Madrid where I worked for three years as an in-house translator at one of the top five translation companies in Spain, gaining great translation experience as well as having the opportunity to interpret from Spanish to English and English to Spanish at several conferences, including a series of conferences for the Spanish Government Delegation for Gender-Based Violence. In the summer of 2016, I began working solely on a freelance basis again and in February 2016 I moved back to Northern Ireland, where I am a registered sole trader, trading under the name Titanic Translation Services.

I translate texts of all types, including contracts, manuals, legal papers, certificates and articles, and all subjects, including law, business and finance, economics, tourism, sport, medicine, culture and politics, from Spanish and French into English, although I specialise in legal and financial translation as well as sport. I work for a variety of clients and agencies across various sectors, including some of the top law firms and financial institutions in Europe.
