Bio
I started writing in English and Tagalog in high school for our school publication, continuing to college (AB Journalism). Afterwards, I was a copywriter for two advertising agencies and one television company (writing station plugs), then became a company feature writer, scriptwriter (for video, A/V, radio ads and presentations) as well as writing features for national dailies and magazines and in-house trade publications, while freelancing small, short jobs on the side.

I started truly freelance writing over 20 years ago doing project proposals, basic feasibility studies, business plans, brochures, reports and others except speeches, medical and engineering reports. Later I began doing freelance writing on the Internet for clients wanting articles, ebooks, blog posts and translations, all of which I still do.

In translations, I do not, however, employ any kind of software as I believe they cannot capture the nuance of the source and target languages, especially the idioms and altered meanings, as well most times present incorrect grammar and wrong choice of words. In all languages, there are many ways to present a single idea, and often this is lacking in software translations.

So I translate contextually while adhering to the verbatim using the most exact terms as much as possible. Also I mostly use Bulacan Tagalog, rather than the Manila (or Filipino) version which is much influenced with other dialects and languages (i.e., Visayan, English and Spanish).

I can also translate Tagalog to English, and those languages into Cuyunon (a dialect of Palawan) and Ilonggo. I write in those languages and dialects also.
Keywords: sporfishing, handline fishing, general translation, writer for features, blogs, articles, ebooks, English-Tagalog/Tagalog-English, business plans, TV/AV/Powerpoint presentation and advertisement scripts
