Speakers:	Andrea Spila — Moderator Andrea Spila is a professional translator, online trainer and web consultant. He holds a degree in Philosophy and a PhD. in Experimental Pedagogy from the University of Rome. In 1989 he co-founded AlfaBeta, an Italian specialist provider of multilingual translation and communication services to businesses and public and private institutions. He is currently the Business Development Manager of the company and the Director of Studies of the European School of Translation, an online training school for translators sponsored by AlfaBeta. He is also a Professional Trainer Proz.com where he teaches web translation and writing skills in English and Italian. Inger Larsen Inger Larsen has degrees in English and American Linguistics, Literature and History; Technical Translations with International Studies; plus courses in IT and HR. Inger founded Larsen Globalization recruitment in 2000. Before this, Inger worked internationally in localization for 15 years. She started out as a localizer and project manager with IBM in her native Norway, then taught software localization at Surrey University before she went to Microsoft in Dublin to work as a program manager on international product versions. She then moved to London and worked within global account management and sales with Xerox GKLS and also for Lernout & Hauspie (now Lionbridge). Inger lives in London with her three children. Michael Smolens A graduate from Carnegie Mellon University Michael is a founder and CEO of a number of successful companies: dotSUB, 3BillionBooks, Atlantic Trade Management, Danube Knitwear, Quality Manufacturing, Phoenix Group, Imex Industries. Currently, having a deep understanding of web based video distribution across all platforms and a broad knowledge of language and translation and subtitling on the web, Michael works on enabling web video translations in any language using an open browser based set of tools. His innovation is that translation process is rendered in multiple languages on any video enabled device or platform. Mark Buffery Mark is Quality Solutions Manager at ALS. Prior to this he was a Service Delivery Manager liaising between clients and Projects staff to on-board clients and to establish and implement workflows as required. Mark has an MA in Translation, and worked for 4 years as an in-house technical translator with STAR UK. He typically translates 18k-20k per month as a freelance translator in his spare time. Catherine Way Catherine Way is Senior Lecturer in Translation at the University of Granada and member of the AVANTI research group. She has published on legal translation, co-edited several books, is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Puentes and until recently the editor of The Interpreter and Translator Trainer, now a member of the Editorial Board. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Fachsprache, ILLD, the book series Aprende a traducir and has peer reviewed for several publishers. She is currently co-editing the Proceedings of the EST Conference. Her main fields of research are Legal Translation, Translator Training and Court Interpreting.

By the second problem came around at 10 minutes, I almost gave up. I gave up at the 20-minute mark.
