neutral Arabic & More : Strong conviction is okay, but "convicted" is not since it means being found guilty of a crime. Perhaps you meant "convinced" instead.

No, Amel, ‘convicted of’ is perfectly regular in religious usage in English with the meaning of spiritual conviction.
