German term

An-Institut

German to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy University-business links
Presumably "Angliederungsinstitut" according to the following Wikipedia definition.

Context is discussion of links between business and university.

Affiliate Institutes? - or is there a specific term for a similar set-up in English-speaking countries.

I can't offer a reliable translation, but I believe an "An-Institut" is an "angegliederte Institut." I found plenty of instances of "attached institute" but they were mainly from Japanese sites.

Research An-Insitut

The An-Institut, (research institute attached to the department of analytical chemistry), was established in April 2004.

Angegliedertes Institut
