Abatimiento sobre el horizontal de proyección del plano proyectante vertical que contiene el triángulo ABC y, por lo tanto, este queda en verdadera magnitud.

In Spanish: Se llama abatimiento en geometría, al proceso mediante el cual, dados dos planos que se cortan, se hace girar uno de ellos alrededor de la recta intersección de ambos, hasta conseguir que ambos planos coincidan. Please note: re-reading the context I'm now not entirely sure - I have seen it as 'reduction', but in less complicated contexts, and bearing in mind I never was very good with numbers... :( Either way, I hope this helps in some way.
