Look at the specific origin of the term The term originates with the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO).

Asker says the term refers to a a heading in an annual report, and provides a link to it.
If you follow the link, you will see that there is yet another heading immediately above it.
That heading claims the report to be applying the framework...

"..som tagits fram av the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO).
Ramverket består av fem delområden: kontrollmiljö, riskbedömning, kontrollaktiviteter, information och kommunikation samt uppföljning."

An official summary of it has this to say:

"Internal control consists of five integrated components." Then it goes on to list them under five different sections.
They are: Control Environment, Risk Assessment, Control Activities, Information and Communication, Monitoring Activities.

How about "Control principles" ? Would "Control principles" be a reasonably accurate way to express this here?

There has got to be some standard term that has already been adopted here, as this is text that exists in just about every Swedish Annual Report.
