Xmas here in Japan has precious little relevance - even if it happens to fall on a Sunday, the day of the week when most people don't work. It's the New Year period when almost all people aren't working and families and relatives can get together that feels more Chrismassy, if you know what I mean. Merry Xmas!

And only because luckily I am free for a couple of days! Julian: but you will have some Christmas cake, won't you? I loved this tradition when I was living in Japan!
I may work a little bit (according to my mood and if there's some time left), but less than half the day.

I get loads of requests during this season perhaps because other translators are taking time off... So I am working when I can (ie when my two-year old is sleeping or my wife is looking after him).

I managed to finish yesterday all the projects due for the beginning of next week. So, I have just a few invoices to prepare and some minor administrative work to do, while the turkey is cooking…

My husband is a church minister so he is the busiest, but I have to take my 3 little kids to join nativity and get ready for in laws arrival. Hopefully there's some time left to work before Santa visits us, only to meet deadline in Jan. At least I don't need to commute to work, and more or less flexible around family time, so I feel lucky.

No rest for the wicked. But am suspending my disbelief and going to see the new Guy Ritchie take on Sherlock Holmes at 3.30pm with the family and then takeing them out for something to eat, and after that I won't get much work done. I might manage to get an hour or two of work in before they wake up tomorrow too if I'm lucky... Ho ho ho!

I've been working for a couple of hours on my current project. And now I'm sending out the remaining Christmas cards, although this is more fun than networking. I wish all of you (who are celebrating it) a very Merry and Peasceful Christmas! Regards Thayenga

I have a project due the 27, so I'll do some work on it today. I wasn't even going to take the project but it's fairly easy. I have a party tonight so I'll try and get as much done as I can.
