disagree Charlesp : according to the text, in the singular, ie "per" kilogram, so to say "one dollar per kilograms of milk solids" sounds odd

Fonterra Co-operative recently released its annual financial report. Highlights of the report include: a record turnover of $13.9 billion with total assets of $11.8 million, a record payout to shareholders of $5.33 per kilogram of milksolids (kgms), and merger benefits of $74 million.

I guess kg milksolids is correct. The old measure used to be kg milkfat.
