price Explanation: As the asker says, the writer is presumably ultimately interested in how much money can be made by selling the item (the profit margin), in other words the price less the cost, so 'The profit margin for thinnings is low' would probably work. However I think 'price' would work just as well here and would be a closer translation of the original. Also, reading the rest of the article I can see that it goes on to mention that increased prices, compared with other types of wood, are to be offered for such material when used to produce energy. Presumably the price being offered would also be higher than the current (low, uneconomic) market price. So I would stick with 'price' throughout. |
