(AmE) Instrument of Notarial Index Record Explanation: The asker's profile has US connections, so maybe it wouuld be better - in this corporate sale-of-shares context - to avoid the US Am conveyancing connotations of a Deed, e.g. of Recordation òr 'Escrow Reg.' of Land Transfers. PS Before anyone makes the point, I agree that 'Protocol' is used for the Register of Deeds kept by Roman civil-law and City of London Scrivener-Notaries, but the term may seem incongruous to lay readers - and even translators and interpreters.
