Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping Railways
Many hits on Internet including drawings but I just can't work or find out what it is in English

Can anyone help please?

@ all Had to chose one answer to get this into the glossary so I chose the multiple answer which is not a 'fair' way to chose. Don't want to upset anyone so thanks to everyone again for explaining this

@all Thanks. I'll probably have to go for formica as any mention of Perstorp is useless for English speakers but thanks to everyone for making this clear to me.

Perstorp is the name of a company. Similar products would be called Formica in English and these would be laminate worktops (for the kitchen) or could be table tops etc. See the link below that explains a bit more about this.

Formica is a trade name. Perstorpsplattor were generally not tiles from the outset, but complete boards to cover workbenches, desktops or tabletops. Later, there were also tiles, mostly for flooring.
