Hello fellow translators and interpreters,

For several works now I have been receiving non-stop e-mails from various senders with the above topic in the information bar. I only opened the e-mail once and believe I wound up getting a very bad bug as a result despite there not being a link.
I keep sending them to spam and unfortunately continue receiving these same spam e-mails.
I am simply wondering if there are any other translators in our community who might also be receiving these same e-mails.

By the way, I have never done any work related to this abovementioned 'Amundi job'.

Thanks in advance for anyone's input about this spam.

Kindest regards,

Richard

Report? Apr 22, 2013

I haven't come across this, but if you have reason to believe it contains a virus, it might be worthwhile forwarding it to ProZ.com Scam Centre. You can do that here: http://www.proz.com/about/translator-scam-alerts/ Then we'll all know to steer clear of it.

Possible spam Apr 24, 2013

Hi,

I got another two e-mails this AM but of course, cannot open them or forward them without the risk of a major virus like I experienced last week.
All I can tell our fellow translators is that the info line states reference to an 'Amundi job' of which I know absolutely nothing.
I look forward to hearing from other colleagues if they have experienced the same.

Best regards,

Richard

brand name of a French bank? Apr 24, 2013

The name "Amundi" is a brand name of French bank Crédit agricole. See http://www.credit-agricole.com/en/Our-business-lines-and-brands/Specialised-financial-services/Asset-management-and-securities/Amundi

Of course it could be a scam, their servers could have been hacked.
