Danish term

ejerbog

Danish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Articles of Association (Vedtægter)
Kapitalejeres navn of adresse indføres i ejerbogen og i ejerregisteret, når dette bliver oprettet.

This is simply one of the Articles of Association of a company.

First come the name, address, registered office, object etc. and then the share capital is fully paid up, all very standard.

No capital share carries special rights...

My question is: what do I call the ´ejerbog´ as opposed to the ´ejerregister´ (register of owners)?

... names shall be registered in the book of owners until the register of owners is created.

shareholders register

As you might know already, ejerbog and ejerregister are distinctly different here. The first is kept at the company; the second is an official public register. See http://www.bechbruun.com/NR/rdonlyres/A7568EDF-19B8-4F6E-83B...

Ejerbog, formerly known as aktiebog, would probably still be best translated as "shareholders register", IMO. See second link for pairings of aktiebog with "shareholders register". I would then differentiate the official register with whatever formal name it has by now, including an English translation if available or one made up by you. (I haven't time to look for that right now.)
Note from asker:
THANKS for pointing me in the right direction! I'm not too bright after a migraine attack right now, but my deadline is Monday morning and most of the job is routine... I even have some notes somewhere from a training day on this. I'll proofread carefully before I deliver the job!

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I went for ´register of owers´ in the end, because after googling I found a lot of major companies have chosen to use this. But you certainly set me on the right track."
